Happy August!
It is 90 degrees today in Madrid, Spain. I am relaxing at home with my husband in our 'flat,' enjoying a day of responding to emails and working online. While the culture in Madrid is not exactly equal to the hip, alternative, progressive, environmentalist -earth loving - yoga practicing culture of Portland, Oregon, I'm still finding some great little spots in Madrid to stay tuned in with the alternative health community.
Today I just re-opened my favorite volume of books; The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East, by Baird t. Spalding. These are great for anyone interested in expanding their consciousness and growing Spiritually, emotionally, and living health-fully.
Here is one of many favorite excerpts that I've read today:
"It has been thought impossible for man to derive his daily supply directly from the Universal, to overcome death, and to perform the various so-called miracles that Jesus performed while on earth. The Masters prove that all these are their daily life.
They supply everything needed for their daily wants directly from the Universal, including food, clothing, and money. They have so far overcome death that many of them now living are over five hundred years of age...
Their numbers are limited and only a few scholars can come to them. In the invisible, however, they can reach almost unlimited numbers and it seems to be the greater work of their lives to reach out into the invisible and help all who are receptive to their teaching." ~Vol 1, pg 14
Now is that an outrageously exciting future to imagine for yourself and for humanity or what?

The field of Human Potential is an exciting one to explore. And from my perspective, it appears that science vs. ancient religions and mystics are on two paths that will soon converge into one.
